New “Alberta is Calling” Attraction Bonus for Skilled Workers
Alberta aims to attract skilled workers with a $5,000 refundable tax credit under the “Alberta is Calling” Attraction Bonus. This one-time incentive, part of the provincial government’s Budget 2024, targets talented trade workers relocating to Alberta after the program begins in April 2024. To qualify, individuals must work full-time in specific occupations, file 2024 taxes in the province, and reside there for at least 12 months.
