Here are the results of Canada’s most recent Express Entry draw on February 15, 2023.
In the latest draw conducted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) 699 invites were issued to Canadian permanent residence applicants. Following IRCC’s last draw on February 2, the first draw in Express Entry history to only invite candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), this draw has once again only invited Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants. This is the second PNP-only draw of 2023 (the first was on February 1).
Today’s draw saw IRCC issue invitations to PNP candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 791, up 58 points from the last PNP-only draw that took place two weeks ago (minimum CRS score of 733).
Express Entry applicants may see a follow-up draw tomorrow for candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), which would mirror IRCC’s process from the last time Canada conducted a PNP-only draw earlier this month. If that does not occur, candidates still in the Express Entry pool can expect another draw in around two weeks.
About Express Entry
Every two weeks, IRCC uses an Express Entry draw to invite more skilled workers from around the world to Canada through permanent residence (PR).
Being selected in an Express Entry draw, however, requires that interested foreign nationals first complete several steps. To begin, interested foreign skilled workers must verify that they are eligible for at least one of the three programs that fall under the Express Entry application management system. After confirming that they are eligible, Express Entry applicants can proceed to submit an electronic candidate profile through IRCC’s online portal. This is also the time that candidates can review their CRS scores.
During each draw once a candidate enters the Express Entry pool, IRCC will invite interested foreign nationals with a CRS score above that draw’s cut-off to apply for Canadian PR. Candidates can only apply for PR in Canada after they are selected through a draw and given an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
Those who receive an ITA will have 60 days (from the exact day they receive the invitation) to complete and submit their electronic Application for Permanent Residence (eAPR) online to IRCC.
